To maintain optimum freshness, grapefruit essential oil should always be stored in a cool place.  For centuries Grapefruit essential oil has been used for its nutritional (vitamin C) and anti-infectious properties. It is also used extensively for flavoring soft drinks and is a favored component of soaps and personal hygiene products.

Citrus essential oils, including grapefruit, have been widely tested against various species of fungi and all have been found to possess antimycotic activity of which grapefruit has been found to be the most effective.

Non toxic and non irritating. Always perform a patch test before use to ensure there is no allergic reaction or sensitivity. Like all citrus oils, grapefruit is a photosensitizers - which makes the skin more sensitive to UV light. When applied to skin that will be exposed to sunlight within 48 hours, diluted the essential oil to 1% or less. Exposure to sunlight should be limited for 24 hours after oil is applied to the skin.
